Apply the power of observing your thoughts to overcome anxiety and depression. Speaking from experience, observing your thoughts can do wonders. It is possible to overcome anxiety and depression and to feel free.
I talk about mindset in a previous post, the fact that mindset is everything after I AM. If you are dealing with anxiety or depression and constantly say “I Am” depressed or “I Am” anxious, you will be. For me, being anxious or depressed was a default state of consciousness, the state I consistently occupied. But I can honestly say that a huge turning point was when I stopped saying I am anxious, I am depressed. It sounds so simple but that one change made a defining difference in my life.
Change Your Mindset
I’ve talked about this in other articles and videos, the importance of not allowing anxiety or depression to define you. But, when it comes to changing your mindset, it takes a little bit (or maybe a lot) of work. Truthfully, it depends on the state of consciousness you yourself consistently occupy. I’ve talked about stillness a lot on my YouTube channel. I honestly cannot emphasize enough how important it is to practice being still and observing your thoughts.
When you become aware and learn to weed out the random, unnecessary thoughts then the deep, ingrained beliefs and assumptions surface. Those are what you need to work on in order to develop a better mindset and with practice. Then, you’ll find that you feel stronger, more confident, and more focused on what you want, and who you truly are.
If you’re struggling with the concept of developing a better mindset because you feel stuck then please feel free to download my worksheets. Use them as tools to help you identify the thoughts you need to change. Don’t feel like you need to rush anything either, it can take time to weed out all of the crap and get down to the core of who you truly are and what you want.
