The sensation of hitting a wall woke me up. It was the night of January 2, 2020. As I laid down to go to sleep, I started repeating the phrase “I AM” silently to myself. Initially, I was inundated with a barrage of random thoughts. However, I have learned to acknowledge them and let them go. Eventually, they began to slow down, and I became totally relaxed.
Then as I felt myself falling asleep, I felt the sensation of hitting a wall. It felt so real that my head jerked back a bit. I woke up wondering what had just happened. Although I am used to having unusual dreams and experiences these days, this was a new experience. So, I pondered the dream briefly then fell back asleep. The next thing I know, I was woken up by the sound of a gong. Usually, I am woken up by the sound of a doorbell but this time it was a gong.
From the moment of falling back asleep to waking up again, it seemed like mere seconds. However, I am sure it was much longer. I have been woken up many times by ringing or the sound of a bell. Generally, this has happened between 1 and 4 am. For this dream, I did not write the times down.
Reflecting on the Dream
When I woke up and stayed awake, I contemplated the dream. What did I run into? I clearly hit a wall or something. Then, I wondered if I had tried to step into another dimension. If that were the case, why couldn’t I go through? Or, was there another meaning to the dream?
I have started to see patterns and have had multiple dreams with the same underlying tone. Perhaps I will have another dream like this one. If so, I hope I receive some revelation.
