The only person you are destined to be is the person you decide to become. Let’s forget about the thoughts and feelings of anxiety and depression for a moment. Forget we ever experienced or are experiencing anything less than our ideal life. What would that be like?
What if we learned at a young age that we could shape our future, our reality? Sure, most of us are told by our parents that “you can be anything you want to be.” But, how often are we really given the tools to make that a reality? Over time, the opinions and beliefs of other people influence us. Our experiences, habits, television, the internet, and social media get impressed (imbedded) upon our subconscious mind.
Imagine if we were taught at a young age to imagine our future deliberately. Taking those desires, we feel and develop them through positive self-talk and visualization? What if we were taught at a young age to be unstoppable, to persist? What if we were given the tools to manifest our desires and watch them unfold in front of our very eyes?
It isn’t too late to manifest your ideal life! The key is in the imagination, changing beliefs that contradict your ideal life and persisting in the assumptions that you are exactly who you want to be.
Purpose
I can only tell you these things now because of my journey and where I am now compared to the broken girl I used to be. I can honestly say that I have never purposely imagined being a writer, author, and speaker until recently. However, I have always assumed that I would tell my story of overcoming anxiety and depression one day. I did not know how, but I just knew and persisted in that knowing. Even in the darkest of times, I have also always known that my life had a purpose. Life continually unfolds, and as I’ve said before, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. I firmly believe that.
